Live on Zoom
This webinar offers attendees the opportunity to engage in the themes of Eastertide through poetry — including both classics of the Ignatian imagination and lesser-known works.
Eastertide is one of the most beautiful seasons in the liturgical calendar, and it invites us to encounter a host of questions: How do we live in a world after the Resurrection? What does it mean to be commissioned for God? How do we deal with the fact that we still feel suffer, or hurt, or doubt, even in the face of such a life-affirming celebration as Easter?
Reading and discussing poetry creates a way to give voice to and rethink these feelings. In this webinar, we’ll come together to read four poems that might help stimulate our thinking and praying on these themes, including works by Emily Brontë, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Pauli Murray, and Claude McKay.
Poetry novices and veterans alike are welcome to join!
